AAWHG Executive
Changes to AAWHG Executive
Following the November 2012 meeting, the AAWHG would like to announce that Wendy Weir has been appointed as the new Chair of the group. Wendy currently works for a major international airport and has extensive experience in environmental, bio diversity and wildlife hazard management.
We would like to announce that David Geil has been appointed as the new Secretary of the group. David currently works for a major regional airline and has extensive experience in airline operations, safety management and compliance.
We would also like to welcome Jill Holdsworth as the primary Australian Airports Association (AAA) representative. Jill also works for a major international airport and has extensive experience in safety, environmental and wildlife hazard management.
The AAWHG membership would like to acknowledge the contributions of former chair, Laurie Taylor and former secretary, Rebecca Johnson. We thank them for their strong leadership and efforts over the past 2-3 years. Both have have stepped down in order to provide other members with the opportunity to peform these critical roles on the executive.
Both Laurie and Rebecca will remain on the group executive in a non office bearer role.
Finally, we would also like to thank Michael Wells for his efforts as the primary AAA representative for the past 2 years. Michael will remain on the executive as the alternate AAA representative.
Darren Angelo will remain as the Information Officer for the group.
