Manual of Standards (MOS) Certified and Registered Aerodromes are subject to the requirements of the Manual of Standards - Part 139 Aerodromes. Section 10.14 of the MOS contains the standards relating to Bird and Animal Hazard Management for Certified Aerodromes. Australasian Aviation Ground Safety Council The Australasian Aviation Ground Safety Council features a broad membership of Airline Operators, Ground Handlers, Refuellers, Airport Operators and Government Regulators from both Australia and New Zealand. This council provides the opportunity to discuss and promote airport ground safety.

Overseas bodies: World Birdstrike Association (WBA) An association of representatives with the aim of improving commercial, military, and private aviation flight safety through the sharing of knowledge to reduce the frequency and risk of collision between aircraft, birds and other wildlife. The World Birdstrike Association was formally known as the International Bird Strike Committee.
International Bird Strike Committee (IBSC) The International Bird Strike Committee was the forerunner of the World Bird Strike Association. The IBSC website is still active however the content is gradually being moved across to the association's site.
